There is so much to do and see in the Minehead area, you will be spoilt for choice. Known as the ‘Gateway to Exmoor’ Minehead is situated right on the coast, settled under Exmoor’s North Hill. The sea-front, contains tourist shops and arcades as well as the Queens Hall, making it perfect for those sunny days on the sandy beach. The town has a wide range of shops and other facilities and you can also see the award winning floral displays.

Exmoor.

Minehead is a great place to explore Exmoor from. From the moorland to the amazing coastline, it is home to red deer, rare wild ponies and birds of prey. There are some breathtaking views and walks, so you can see everything Exmoor has to offer.

West Somerset Railway.

From Minehead to Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton and back again, it takes in some of the best 20 miles of scenery Somerset has to offer. Situated just along from the Queens Hall, it makes a perfect day out, taking in the sights and sounds from the golden age of steam. Tropiquaria

Located on the A39, between Williton and Minehead, Tropiquaria is full of animals and adventure. From pirate ships, fish, indoor play castle, fort and plenty of animals it is great for the kids.

Butlins

Great for day visits or breaks away, Butlins has everything for the family. With live entertainment shows, Billy the Bear, Exmore adventures, go-karting, Splash Waterworld with flumes and rides and a funfair, plus more, the kids and grown ups will love it.

Dunster

This medieval village lets you travel back in time to explore Dunster Castle, which sits above the beautiful village and the streets, containing exclusive shops, arts and crafts, pottery and galleries. Dunster also hosts many festivals, including Dunster by Candlelight, which is held once a year.

Porlock

Traditional village, with shops, galleries, hotels and eateries. It is also home to Porlock Hill, which is steep but the views from the top of Exmoor are breathtaking.
